About This Job
We are seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine physicians to provide emergency medicine care at comprehensive Indian Health Service facilities in Southwest, rural and underserved communities. Ideal candidates are those who will consider returning to the facilities for at least one-two weeks each month. We are urgently hiring qualified candidates for locums positions.
Position Details:
- Typical number of patients per day: 10-12
- EMR: RPMS
- Schedule: Flexible
Requirements:
- Committed to rural, Tribal, and underserved healthcare
- Compassionate, mission-driven social medicine practitioners
- Interested in joining a dynamic and potentially disruptive social healthcare enterprise
- Board-certified in EM/Eligible by ABEM
- ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Active, unrestricted license and DEA from any state or US territory
- Completed a US residency program
- Not had a lapse in practice > 6 months leading up to assignment

Facility Description
Medical Center hosts a 24/7 Level 2 Emergency Room. Its other medical departments include a dental, optometry, primary care, and women's health , pediatric clinic. It has a 12 bed main Emergency Department with a 7-bed Overflow unit. There are 4-5 physicians shift times 6:30-4pm/11:30-9:30pm/4:30-2:30pm (single coverage)/ fast track shift 10a-8a. It is staffed with physicians who are Board Certified or eligible in the OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistants, Dentists and Optometrists.
