About This Job
Blanchard Valley Hospital is currently looking for a GI locum to assist the department with call coverage. Locum will work 24-hour call coverage for the ED and Inpatient Consults.
Additional Details:
• Selected dates for locum coverage. Apply to job then inquire for more details.
• Inpatient coverage only- NO CLINIC (only answering service for after hours)
• Consults and rounding
• Procedures every Monday & Friday with the possibility of more throughout the week (this schedule would be communicated prior to the start of the assignment)
• Procedures at both Blanchard Valley Hospital and Bluffton (20 mins from the main campus)
• Credentialing the same for both hospitals- both fall under BVHS
• Housing provided by BVHS
• Locum will use personal cell phone for call
• Cerner EMR
- Inpatient Consults range from 2-4 per day
- ED is hit or miss but rarely do locums come in during the night
- Admits are handled by Hospitalists
- ERCP and EUS are not a requirement, but accepted
- EGD and Colonoscopies are required
